Who provides MeterMind
MeterMind (called “MeterSnap” in the German App Store) is provided by AppManufaktur, Inh. André Jaszka, Rebhuhnweg 12, 59227 Ahlen-Vorhelm, Germany, email: info@jaszka.com.
What MeterMind is for
With MeterMind you record electricity, gas and water meter readings, by camera, photo or typing, and see your consumption and, if you add tariffs, your estimated costs. MeterMind is a tool for your private overview.
Price and contract
MeterMind costs nothing. You download the app from Apple’s App Store under the terms shown there. There are no in-app purchases, no subscription and no advertising. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app; these terms supplement it.
No account
There is no MeterSnap account. Your data is kept on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Check the values
- Recognition of meter values and meter numbers can be wrong. Check every recognised value before you confirm it. Only what you confirm is saved.
- Consumption and costs are calculated from your entries and tariffs. They are estimates for your overview and not a bill. Only the bills of your utility or landlord and the display of the calibrated meter are binding.
- Do not use MeterMind as your only record towards utilities, landlords or authorities. Keep important readings elsewhere as well, for example on the reading slip.
Your data
Your data belongs to you. I have no access to it and therefore cannot restore it. There is currently no export function; a second copy exists only via your iCloud.
Further development
I keep developing MeterMind and change the app only for a valid reason, for example security, new iOS versions or technical adjustments, at no cost to you and so that your stored meters and readings are kept. Your statutory rights, including for defects, remain unaffected.
Liability
I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act.
For slight negligence I am liable only if I breach an essential contractual obligation, that is, an obligation whose fulfilment makes the use of MeterMind possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In that case liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. For disadvantages arising from your confirming a wrongly recognised or wrongly entered value or using a cost estimate as a bill, I am liable only under these rules.
Ending use
You can stop using MeterMind at any time. How to delete your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version with a new date is published on this page.
Applicable law
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
